Unconditional Love - Devotion Writing

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:5-9 NIV

What does it truly mean to love the Lord your God with all of your heart, with all of your soul and with all of your might? The life and death of God’s son Jesus is a blueprint for the love God seeks from us. Jesus’ life was exemplary of the purest and highest form of love – agape love; unconditional, unwavering and abundant love. Beloved, to love God with our whole heart, mind and soul is the greatest commandment we have been given from God. When we love God with our whole heart, mind and soul, we are opening the door to love our neighbors, and even our enemies, in the same way. This is the will of God.
